I visited the Telkom Mobile store at Musgrave Centre on 21/10/13 to purchase the 25gb 25gb prepaid promotion. I thoroughly researched this offer on the Telkom Mobile website and read the faqs etc.
Simphiwe suggested I purchase the 21mbps modem from the Mtn store 3 doors down as it was faster and cheaper. It was actually more expensive at R549 including a 2GB data bundle. I then settled for the R399 .00 DLink DWM 156 modem.3G Coverage was checked in my area by Andrew. So in total i payed R1398.00.I understood that I would not get a refund for both the bundle and the modem.
I mainly use the internet for making Skype calls and Online Video Conferencing (Fuze) for business regularly. I found that both my Skype calls and Online Video Conferencing lasted for a short period of time and regularly disconnected.
I called 183 at 10:50 on 26/10/13 and asked Julia to help me with this and after holding for about 15 minutes she told me that 8ta doesn't support video calling. Nowhere in your Terms and Conditions did you state this.
I need a refund based on the fact that your advertising is both false and misleading. Had I known this I wouldn't have bought the products.
Please respond to this ASAP.
