I have called Telkom 2 weeks ago on the 5th of October to complain about my slow internet speeds I have been experiencing over the past month. The call centre agent even said that they will send a technician out to test the lines as they could not sort out the problem from their side. 2 weeks have passed by, no one has come out and my adsl lines are still as slow or even slower than 2 weeks ago. I just tried calling the call centre and waited over 30 minutes on the line for someone to pick up, the line just drops, I called again and 10 minutes passed and the line just drops again. I still have not been able to reach the call centre, it is a very lousy way to spend 1 hour waiting for a call centre that does not work. Why am I paying for a service that I cannot use to its full utilisation? This happens almost every month and it never seems to be sorted out. But I must still pay for this poor service.
Very disappointing. I am really considering terminating this service of which I have been a customer for more than 13 years of.
