I have been a loyal contract subscriber for 10 consecutive years. I upgraded my contract at Clearwater Mall in July this year. Paresh informed me of the various promotions in store and I opted for the contract which automatically includes free data. He however advised me that the migration date is 10/10 and I would have to purchase data for 3 months prior to the official migration date. I was advised to cancel the 500mb Broadband for R 104.39 on the 10/10/13. I called in on the 10th requesting the consultant to please cancel the data I was paying for as my upgraded conditions would now apply. She confirmed that my request has been processed and that confirmation would follow via sms. I received an sms - "Welcome to MTN Call Per Second! I was puzzled by this as my contract was upgraded on the same basis i.e MTN ANYTIME 350. I planned to call Autopage the following day for clarification, but the day was rather hectic. I was in the middle of a highly important call and was cut off due to having "insufficient airtime" which makes no sense as I am a contract subscriber. I called in from a branch and was advised to load airtime at my expense. I demand compensation for the inconvenience.
