I have been trying to terminate my account early for over a week now, with no cooperation from MTN.
I went into a store where they informed me I could only do this via 808.

I called 808 on about 7 different occasions, where they all had different "advise".
Included in this advise was:
- "I suggest you don't close your contract";
- "I'll put you through to your credit controller" (which never picks up);
- "You need to email MTN Business";

I emailed MTN Business where they have given me the wrong forms and said I can only cancel in 5 months time.

I don't mind paying the early termination fee but they won't even let me get to that process as there has been no response.

This is in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act, however I can't do anything about it.

This is not the 1st issue I have had with MTN. With my previous contract I incorrectly typed in the wrong reference number when paying. I informed them immediately to reverse this payment to the correct reference number. They did not and now it appears on my credit rating report.

Could someone kindly assist me with an early termination?
It is quite urgent.
