Nashua Mobile
Phone blocked after contract expiry

I took up a contract for a Blackberry 9300 with Nashua in 2011. It ended in March 2013, and I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy. Immediately after I took my sim card out of the Blackberry into the Samsung, the Blackberry stopped working. I took it to Nashua to be repaired and I was told to pay R1 800 to fix it. I refused and they returned it to me. I took it to another repair shop and was told that my phone had been blocked to all South African networks. I called the Wonderboom Junction branch and explained the situation. They took it to head office for repairs. I got a call from Ilse saying I needed to pay R598 since the phone is out of warranty. My phone was working perfectly until I took the sim card out. Why should it stop working when the contract ends? Why should the phone be blocked? And why do I have to pay for it? I am scared that the same thing will happen with the phone I currently have on contract with them, and I don't want to do business with them anymore. I will cancel my contract!
