Can not get through to cancellations department

I emailed a letter of cancellation to telkom on 01 August 2013 and then phoned and confirmed that they had received it. Now, over a month later on and the service has still not been cancelled. I am trying to call the cancellations department but i am being constantly cut off or there is no answer (i am currently waiting on the line as i type - 25min so far on my 4th call!!)

Please can someone at telkom wake up and answer their phones - particularly the cancellation department - they must be very busy..
