Late installation and no phone update communicatio

In August I went to apply for a business line from Telkom. I was told by the man behind the counter to make a payment and that installation would happen within 48 hours. I did just that. Two weeks later, there was nothing from Telkom and when I followed up I was told that they had a backlog and chances are installation will happen after 6 weeks. On 18 September, I received a text message saying that on 01.10.2013, my line will be installed and this is a whole day appointment so I should stay at home. ON 01.10.2013, three text messages were sent reminding me that a technician will come to do the installation. One at 07:59, 09;54 and the last at 11:17. The time now is 17H50 and no one has come through nor called to say whether they are coming or not. To top it all off, I am told that the technician sent through was dispatched at 12H00 (not sure what that's got to do with me) and his name is Jacques Teubus whom I can reach on 021 551 2555. I called this number at least 10 ten times. There is either no pick up or the number is engaged.

How undermining is this? So, what the am I supposed to do now? Take another day off work?
