On Monday 23 September 2013, I reported our line out of order. I was duly sent a reference number. On Friday 27 September 2013, I inquired as to WHEN THEY MAY EXPECT TO COME AND REPAIR THE LINE. I was informed that I had cancelled the call. It is time that Telkom starts recording all their conversations after all they are in the telecommunications business. When I told them emphatically that I did not, they advised me that they will make the call urgent. On Monday, when I called, they were SURPRISED that the technician had not called me as yet. Today, I am told that it will happen tomorrow. I am not surprised that they are losing customers. Each time, I get a SMS stating, "dear customer, there is still a fault on your line". Does Telkom think that I am so stupid that I do not know this??? When oh when will we get a second fixed line operator? Long overdue but the government will protect its shares at all costs and costs to the customer.
What a third world country we live in. My problem must be insurmountable for Telkom to repair or at least so it seems as it is taking a long time and then I have to pay rental for this period. They can forget it.
