I requested that a business line of ours be cancelled on 10/07/13. The consultant that I spoke to advised that I should email & fax a letter through & this would be done. He also mentioned that this could be done with immediate effect.
I received my next statement & this line was still on my account. I then enquired and they explained to me that my request was submitted to the wrong number, WHICH WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A TELKOM CONSULTANT. I then RESUBMITTED everything on the 16/08/2013, this was confirmed and allocated by Stean.
I was assured that a credit will be passed on my next account because it was through no fault of our own that the account was not cancelled back in July.
I received my new account dated 08/09/13 & the credit has not been passed nor has the line been taken off our account??!! Everytime I call to enquire a different solution or reasoning is given.
In a nutshell, I cancelled the line on the 10/07/13, 1 month notice period: 10/08/13. It is the 27/09/13 & still nothing reflecting on my statements.
I understand it is generated electronically but all I am asking for is something on black & white which assures me of the cancellation & the credit due.
