HELLO PETER
I had battled for three months to get a debacle in connection with an upgrade- phone sorted out when low and behold I was contacted by Virgin's courier service to inform me that another phone was to be delivered to me. I told them it was a mistake and that the phone had to be returned immediately and receipt thereof was confirmed by Patrick from Virgin Head Office. To my utter shock a debit order went through on my bank account for the total cost of the undelivered phone.
I again contacted Patrick and he confirmed that it was a mistake and that the money would be refunded asap.
This was more than a month ago and after scores of phone calls to their so-called managers.
All of a sudden Patrick is no longer employed by Virgin: Hassan is never available and Virgin is relocating to an unknown destiny. What am I to do to get my money back where it belongs: which is definitely not in Virgin's bank account!
I am particularly concerned as I recently spoke to a relative whose contract on maturation was cancelled almost a year ago and yet the monthly instalments are still processed every month. It seems that there is nobody at Virgin taking honest responsibility.
