Took out 500MB open line data contract on promo for R39pm. But MTN doesn't mention they don't allow limits on open line accnts. Anyway, after 2 mnths of getting crazy bills due to my not realising I was going over the 500MB allocated data, I went to the store where I was told the only option I'd have to control my data usage is by migrating to a top up acc. I asked Miemie if migrating to top-up would cost more than the R39. She said she didn't think so but would call to check. She informed me that the amount would remain the same. I called call centre to be sure - they also said if I change to top-up it'd still be R39. So I told Miemie to migrate me. But appearently migrating to top up does cost more! WAY MORE! Suddenly I'm paying R179 pm instead of the R39pm I signed up for. Putting a huge strain on my already tight budget! MTN Parow Centre said they'd arrange to revert me back to the open line @R39pm, and credit me back the excess. Didn't happen. Called Simona from - said they'd refund me and change me back to open line. Now they credited me back R500 but they're stil billing me for R179! Their attitude is just "Too bad for you". I've given up but I'm SO frustrated!!!
