Looong story super short: Had Vodacom mobile data contract, but had to cancel due to poor reception at my home. Took out 500MB data contract at MTN on promotion for R39pm. My second bill was R426 because I went "over my 500MB". (Even though my internet usage was minimal so I don't get it.) Asked if they could put a limit on my account, they said no (see, that way they can be sure you always spend more). So I asked to be changed to a top-up. Both the call centre and the branch assured me on numerous occasions that monthly cost (R39) would remain the same. This month my monthly service bill was R165.79 (excl vat and extra data used). The one shop assistant had an ugly attitude (I've seen her deal with other customers with that same bad attitude) Treated me like an, loudly telling her colleague "Sy verstaan nie" when I DID understand perfectly well that my package was a discounted one. I'm SICK of MTN.This is just the latest of many issues and I've only been with them for 3 months! The call centre is useless also. And they never respond to Hello Peer complaints. I'm willing to pay good money to cancel this contract. I can't take it anymore!!
