I recently applied for a MTN contract - My call R300. I was supposed to pay R329 per month and in the first month a once off payment. When my debit order went off, the bill was just beneath R1 000!!! I didn't even receive a bill at the end of the month. When I when in store to see the breakdown of my account, The calls I made was only R17 and the data was not even R50. The rest was cost's like subscriptions I didn't apply for. According to the MTN-employee that was not cost from MTN, but MTN let the other parties bill me without my consent. It is also very disappointing that I didn't even receive a bill!
