Your incompetence is wasting my money

My S3 was recently and not insured. I decided to open a new contract. Vodacom's September deals (valid 9 sep - 6 Oct) include a package with an S3 for R249/month, but on 9 September none of the stores in my area had any stock, and informed me that they wont be receiving any more stock of this model (irritating in itself - why advertise a package that is instantly not available?).

After much phoning around, I found a handset at Broadacres lifestyle centre. I called on Friday 13 Sep. to confirm that they still had it. On Saturday 14 Sep., I drove 60km out of my way to fetch the phone. As I arrived, they assured me that the phone was in the store room. After filling out forms for 45mins, when the clerk went to fetch the phone, it had mysteriously vanished since the previous afternoon, without a trace. Then she tried to sell me an S3 mini instead, which I could have bought anywhere.

So here I am, 120km less petrol, 3 hours wasted and still without a phone.

Thanks for nothing Vodacom, you've lost another customer to MTN.
