I took my wife's iPhone in for repairs approx 7 to 8 weeks ago as there was a problem with the sound on her phone where the ringtone was not working.
I dealt with a consultant who confirmed that my phone is still under warranty and it will take approx. 7 - 10 working days to be fixed.
After 10 days I heard nothing from Autopage and was rudely addressed when I contacted them. The phone was not ready as they were having problems with their repair centre. I called again after 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, then 4 weeks. After 5 and a half weeks I get a call direct from the repair centre to say there will be a R3000 cost as they don't 'think' my phone is under warranty.
I immediately contacted Willie, the general manager at Melrose who was going to look into the matter. It's is now almost 8 weeks since I originally took my phone in with almost zero update from Autopage.
I think the service is an absolute disgrace. I think the way the staff deal with customers is an even bigger disgrace. They will be loosing me as a customer as well as my business of over 20 cell phone contracts.
All I wanted was for the phone to be fixed. 8 weeks and still nothing.
