Upgrade under false pretence

My mother received an sms staying that she qualifies for an upgrade. So with that, off we went to the local Autopage. We went there with the intention of going for a Top Up 500 and receiving a voucher. This deal we chose from a list of special deals received from the local Autopage on a previous occasion, before she got the sms. "GIFT CARD COMBOS" is the heading on the print out we received from the local Autopage. On the print out it stated "Effective 07 May - 06 June 2013" hence we went there 4 June 2013.

When we explained this to the consultant, she explained that they no longer deal with vouchers. I should've known better. We chose a different package.

At the end of the upgrade, the consultant nonchalantly said that migration date is 10.10.2013. I immediately asked but why? What does this mean? Her response was that the new tariff could only kick in then, but will most likely kick in at the end of the month. So we left.

It has been 3 month and her new tariff has yet to kick in.

I have logged 3 complaints on their website. They've replied once saying that the migration date is 17.10.13, note the date has moved a week later to the date given
