I checked on my progress of my previous complaint about line speeds yesterday and found that cybersmart had disconnected my line (which still does not work properly) because i owe them money.
When i installed my telkom line cybersmart applied for the adsl conversion. when the person phoned me to check on the line progress, i asked how much i must pay and the answer was R685. which i verified on my account. I paid them that amount via bank deposit. The next day i checked on my account if they received the amount and saw that there is an amount of R341.29 still outstanding. I saw somewhere on their site that they disconnect by 15 of each month for non payment, so i left it there. When this whole line speed/response complaint came up i thought that well i have grace until the 15th to sort out my bank account (which fnb closed for non use)
Now i see cybersmart is billing me R50 for d/o failure R170.645 (yep thats half a cent) for deposit debit order bounced - and a note on my account to not enable without management permission.
Here is my response, come fetch your modem and refund me my R685 i paid and release my line back to telkom. I will tell all my friends to stay away!
