My vodacom contract was to end on 6/8/13.I phoned the cancellation department for the first time in early July to cancel my contract. The consultant asked me to call back after the 20/07/13 to do it then.i called back then and asked them to cancel my contract effective end of july.the consultant insisted that they couldnot so i then agreed to end my contract on the 31/08/13.the consultant said that i should switch offf my phone on the 31st and switch it back on on the 1/09/13 and recharge.i checked my phone on that day and found that the contract was still active.i have been calling the cancellation department everyday and have never been able to get thru.i have even called the customer care and they have been unhelpful.this is really unacceptable and i will be taking this up with the consumer protection act as the contract i signed was up until the 6/08/13.
