Having moved from Telkom's 8ta, amidst stories of bad coverage and dropped connections, I still decided to purchase the R 1800 once-off internet data package special from Cell C (This package works out cheaper than any of their competitors).
I have noticed that the speed of my downloads are noticeably faster than it was with 8ta (not sure 8ta is throttling bandwidth?) Also, since I use the internet from multiple locations, I also noticed that the signal strength in general is better on the Cell C network than it was with 8ta.
To add insult, 8ta is still billing me even though I cancelled my contract 20 days prior to its expiration!
Thank you Cell C - I am very happy customer and do not regret moving over!
