Misleading service and faulty handset

I was the proud new owner of a Galaxy S4 Mini. Sold by Natano Saturday 17/08/ he went through the contract and I asked questions like if my handset was faulty when I walk out of the store what guarantee do I have. his response was that I get a new phone if it happens in the first 7 days.
Sunday 18/08/2013 I took a video and the phone would not play it, it looked like the screen scrambled. Monday morning I went to Cell C and various assistants said that I should try short cuts on the phone maybe it works. I pay for a working handset not short cuts. I was told that for 7-14 days I will wait for the manufacturer to sort out the phone. I was not told that when signing the contract. also I am being billed for the 1 and a half days that I had the use of the handset. I cancelled the contract this morning. The service was misleading and pathetic.
