I was contacted by Mweb when I wanted to cancel Telkom ADSL. They signed me up for a 12 month contract and I asked if it was month to month which was confirmed. When I decided to do other things and asked them to cancel the whole deal without using it, they replied I have to pay them R990 to cancel. I told them I was not aware of this when I agreed to their services ad asked them to please check their recordings to verify I was informed of this.
I have not heard from them to this day and they still debit my account even after I stopped the debit order.
