MTN has unlawfully deducted over R9000 from our charity's bank account over the past 3 months for a cell phone account which we have absolutely no knowledge of for a person who we have never heard of. MTN has no responded to my queries nor attempted to rectify this. We have not got an account with MTN nor will ever have one in the future. I am horrified at how money can be deducted from a bank account with no permission from the account holder. What makes it worse is that the account holder is a charity with very limited funds which provides Early Childhood Education to 3 impoverished communities and these amounts which MTN have deducted have severely inhibited the running of the charity.
