I purchased an S3 cell phone on the advice from sales person at Vodacom. I asked about the warranty which was informed was two years and that the glass was some special gorilla glass that was unbreakable and scratch resistant. I had the phone for about 3 weeks before it accidentally fell out of my pocket and the screen cracked. I took it in and was informed that I was my own fault and that the warranty would not cover it which I accepted. The phone has been working perfectly for the past 9 months but recently just stopped charging so I took it in to have it repaired. The phone was sent away to the Maitland branch and then they came back to tell me that the phone had water damage. I asked for the number and called the repair centre and was put through to Owen. He was extremely rude straight from the start. I told him that the phone had never been near water or any liquid and I was willing to complete an Sworn affidavit. He said that it is liquid damage that can be caused by condensation or even wet hands I said that this must be a manufactoring fault as I have never used the phone with wet hands. I was so upset with the way I was spoken to I just asked that he return the phone.
