Replacing of iPhone in warranty

I recently took my iPhone in after the wifi stopped working.

iFix and Apple confirmed that this is a known problem with iPhone 4S. Had I bought the phone at Apple it would have been a straight replacement as it is still in warranty, unfortunately I had to deal with MTN as my contract is with them.

They confirmed that this is a problem and would replace it with a "refurbished" second hand phone.

As this is a hardware fault and still in warranty I refuse to accept anything else but a new phone. I will not deal with someone else's problem phone or used device.

Apple are fantastic in this regard internationally but somehow don't have the same support locally.

It's time MTN sorted out their customer service and and put their money where their advertising budget sits and stop being so cheap when it came to customer care.

I still await feedback on Facebook and trying to get a hold of someone who actually has authority seems impossible.
