I responded to an advert from FNB offering me a 2GB data contract for my tablet I had with FNB. The sms stated clearly the subscription was R99/Month. I immediately received a call from Cell C agents following up to my response I sent, I was signed up and promised to receive the sim within 7 working days. Indeed my sim was delivered and activated and started using it right away. I received my 1st invoice this month stating that I should pay R446.40, this was way more than what we agreed upon as I did not use beyond the 2GB that I was allocated and never made calls or sms's.
I made a call to Cell C call center and a lady by the name Johanna Peete broke it down the invoice amount as follows: R146.84 Pro-Rata for last month (June) 14% Vat R279 for this month (July) = .R446.40. I asked why was the subcription R279 and I was told that was the contract I signed for and was transferred to the Sales dept. I spoke to Nika who told me there was discrepancies from her side as one system was showing a contract of R99 subscription and the other R279. She subsiquently logged a complain Ref: 3071500555.
I followed up several times and still could not get this issuer sorted. Plz help.
