I bought a new sim card on Saturday to use for internet, but no 3G coverage, even with an external antenna. I forced the modem for 3G only and it didnt resond to any signal until its been put back to auto and picked up edge again. I phoned 173, they put me through to 1555 who gave me 0839001212 to phone, only to find out that they work from Mon-Fri. I phone them this morning to find out according to them there is no 3G coverage where I'm staying, but the national coverage map shows 3G coverage. 2 weeks ago a friend of mine had his B683 modem here and we were testing it against Vodacom. Vodacom speed were 3.5Mbps and MTN were 6Mbps. Now if there is no 3G coverage here where did the speed comes from. I think MTN must get more competent people to work for them then they will get more people to signup on contracts. My adress is 28 Van Riebeeck Street, Heidelberg, Western Cape, 6665
