I had a cell c contract that I took out in 2008. Due to me loosing my job in 2010 a few months before the contract ended I could not pay the remainder of my contract. However, I knew that I am liable for this and tried contacting cell c to assist me with payment arrangements. They had notified me that they do not have any records of my I.D no in their records so I left it as that. I then tried to get accounts in other places and could not. When I went to my bank which is nedbank. They had informed me that I have outstanding amount at cell c. I then went back to cell c and again they told me that they cannot pick up anything on my name. I then requested a copy of my credit portfolio and there again I saw that I have default on cell c. I tried numerous times thereafter to sort this out with cell c, I even deposited money to their account with a reference with the number that I used on that contract and still nothing reflected. I then received a call from a collections company stating that cell c handed me over. This was on the 4th July 2013. They informed me that a month ago cell c has handed me over. I have been trying for over TWO YEARS to sort this out and got no joy.
