Three to four years back i payed up my account with cell c which a made a payment at the branch in southgate south of jhb. and the lady at the counter fax the paper and the amount of R500 was made i signed the cancellation papers. the lady at the branch confirmed that the letter Will be send thru and it will be closed... a year down the line i wanted to apply for a phone at another service provider and they said that i have a bad credit record (what) it just clicked CELL C i then called then and they said that i still have R300 and some odd amount out standing. they handed me over to the lawyers i was unemployed from that time till now... the handed me over to the lawyers and i followed up with them and there fees are ridiculously sullie... just for an account that i closed years back i still have to pay...???
