Nashua Mobile
Cancellation of deceased contract: 0836327231

My father passed away on the 26th December 2012, and his phone was on contract with Nashua Mobile. My mom tried to have his contract cancelled and went to Nashua Mobiles offices in Middelburg. A trainee consultant told my Mom that due to the fact that the contract was on her name and not my Dads, that she was bound to continue with the contract and that if she wanted to cancel it she would have to pay a third more than what the total would be until the end of the contract. They have been with Nashua Mobile since 1996, and it would not be to much ask to try and assist her with the cancellation. The trainee tried to get in touch with Head office and stayed on the on "hold" for approximately 30minutes, upon which my mom told her phone her back if she had an answer. The next day she phoned her and told her that if she wanted to have the contract canceled that she would have to pay an penalty of R1840.00. The total period of the contract is still for 12 months, and its a "Topup 120, which would mean that the cancellation would be far more that to keep paying the monthly subscription. Does Nashua Mobile not have any consideration for her request. Please contact her for your response!!!
