Faulty new cell, NO SUPPORT! NO ACCESS

Nokia Lumia 520 cell delivered from Direct by courier. What a battle to get the new micro-sim activated. At last, SIM OK. Then to activate any application, I had to create Microsoft Account (which worked fine on my PC); in between phoning the 808 care line and some others (not even mentioning the endless options to choose from just be cut off or on a "cul de sac" when waiting endlessly for an operator). To cut the long story, I eventually was advised by the agent on 1555 to take the phone to an MTN Outlet for support (only 1 in Pretoria) where a software problem was confirmed. The store manager supported me in phoning some MTN internal and told me the phone will be collected by MTN Direct from my house for replacement etc. However, nothing happened today and with all this, the time for recourse is now going to lapse. I AM TOTALLY FRUSTRATED DUE TO TIME WASTAGE; MOST TIME WASTED IN TRYING TO GET AN EAR IN MTN TO TALK TO; it's as if there is deliberate attempt to block all ways of communicating to raise an issue. PLEASE HELP!!
