After a battle getting a Tech. to respond, he eventually came out to check the signal. Walked around in the yard with his cell phone to check the signal! (some tech). after "submitting" his report, no further communication from 8ta. I have been into 8ta in Clearwater, Hatfield and Vaal mall to try and get further feedback - to no avail. This contract is for my daughter at Varsity, and it works fine in Pretoria, But at home in Roodepoort not so. She is at home roughly 70% of the year.
There are boosters and out door antennas that will boost the signal, why can 8ta not install one for me?
I do not wish to cancel the contract, but feel that, as 8ta said it can provide the service in my area, they should do so. If they are not prepared to render the service, it amounts to false advertising, and is a matter for the consumer goods council.
I very much doubt that this matter will be resolved if i look at all the unresolved posts on.
Still worth the try before going to the consumer council.
