WAS PORTING TO CELL-C FROM VODACOM A MISTAKE?

Since I ported to Cell-C from Vodacom on 1st March 2013 I have been denied several services that worked perfectly at Vodacom. Cell-C are at a loss to explain why. Rebooting my cell phone makes NO difference.
I have a BB 9800 Torch (slide)
1. BBM - These "happen" on a Russian roulette frequency but with the negative result. Sent BBMs can remain unsent for anything up to 36 hours... most never leave. Typically they take MANY hours - if at all. The same is true in reverse... I never receive BBMs that I KNOW were sent. Some however come through quite normally and sometimes I can even respond... for a short while SMSs however generally seem to go thru.
2. BROWSING - win some - lose some; MAINLY lose some!!!
3. IM - GOOGLE TALK AND WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER - The request takes forever to process and then comes back with a "Connection error (65); problem receiving data from the server". This condition has applied from the day I ported.
4. MXIT and several other chat programs refuse to load/function on my phone. The reasons are beyond comprehension to the layman.
I have not moved home or changed anything material since I ported. What worked at Vodacom doesn't any more at Cell C
