Handed Over to a Debt Collection firm

I received a Sms's from Pholosa stating that i have been handed over for an outstanding amount of R125.08, this i do not believe as the contract was terminated about 3 to 4 years ago and changed to pre-paid, i requested a statement from Pholosa who in turn said that i should contact Cell c which i did they in turn told me to contact Pholosa as they cannot give me statement once handed over, PATHETIC service here.
