Seems there is only one thing about which Altech Autopage is more contemptuous than a customer - and that is an ex-customer. After weeks of breath-taking incompetence, I paid R4 000 to cancel my contract to get this appaling company out of my life for good. I gave up trying to get my old cell number transferred to my new service provider. I have since tried in vain to have my lost cell phone - subsequently found - unblacklisted. I thought, as a final effort, I would write a detailed letter of complaint to the CEO or Managing Director. But this person is obviously inviolate. The best I got was an email address for the "escalations department". I wrote the letter more than two weeks ago, got an email acknowledgement they couldn't reach me (they were obviously trying the old cell number). Since then, nothing. Not a peep. Consumers, beware. There is absolutely no reason to put yourself through the anguish I have endured at the hands of Altech Autopage for the last few weeks. Quite the most useless outfit in South Africa, I reckon.
