My 1 year Blackberry 9900 bold started re-booting itself every time I placed or received a call. MTN asked me to upgrade software, then to buy new SIM card. Then they suggested that I send the handset in for a technical assessment. and nothing resolved the problem. After four months of this problem, I went back and a clerk by the name of Wayne let the cat out of the bag. He showed me an email from an MTN supplier who stated that due to an MTN network upgrade certain Blackberry phones were not compatible and could not make or receive calls. The supplier asked the consultant to draw up a list of affected users so that they could have a record. I called the MTN call centre on 29 May to demand a solution or cancel my contract. Everybody acted ignorant until I got Wayne to admit to on the phone. They promised to call me back and give me a refund on my subscription. The ref number for that call is 100587696. did not hear a word from them since then. MTN have to me and billed for a service that cannot properly provide. Withholding info on the none functional network is a breach of contract.
