My MTN account was tracking around R660/mth for 27 months, then suddenly a bill of R18, 480, after my upgrade. To my knowledge, my bill limit was set to R1, 600/month and my behaviour on my phone had not drastically changed. I wasn't doing anything different.
MTN now comes back and says "Out of bundle usage" and "The Bill Limit does not work on data traffic and is only offered for voice lines". How is that possible? On a 3G card from MTN I previously used, it told me immediately when I ran out of data. This answer from MTN is unacceptable and inexcusable.
Am I totally unprotected without any accountability or responsibility from MTN to warn me of over expenditure?
