Cell C call centre calls to for some promotion. When I answer there is music blaring on the other end and then after about 15 seconds an operator speaks to me about wanting to sell me a new contract, this after seeing that I am an existing client.
The consultant provided excellent service by explaining why I heard music and apologized for it, but really now Cell C, how dumb are you. You call me and when I answer I am put on hold. No matter how short a period I am on hold for, but if you call me and put me on hold I will be VERY irritated and your chance of making a sale greatly diminishes. Secondly, you have my details, you know the contract and phone that I use and you should have access to my usage, why on earth would you want to sell me another package when my existing contract is not even a year old?
Your service up to this point has been brilliant. Please think a bit before doing things like this in future.
