After collecting contract forms diligently filling them out and supplying Cell C with all the relevant documentation the following day (14 May) I was informed that their iPhone 5 16GB were out of stock, but that they would receive stock between 1 and 2 that same day. To save fuel, I wondered around the mall for a couple of hours, and returned to the shop at around 3. (Better safe than sorry, right?) Needless to say, there was no stock, and since I had to get back to town, I said that I would return the next day.
The shop assistant assured me that they would have stock the by 4pm the next day. After yet another drive from Gardens, I was disappointed.
I have since avoided the drive, by phoning in to ask about stock, but sadly, nearly 2 weeks later, Cell C in Canal Walk STILL do not have stock. Nor have they attempted to give me a date or to keep me updated from their side.
Surely, since the iPhone 5 has been out for 6months, they should be able to cope with the demand and supply of the product, and not make customers wait 2 weeks. If you they can't handle the demand, then they should STOP ADVERTISING!!!
