My name is Oscar Aphane, I am writing this as a last resort. Last year in November I was called by a forensic analyst at Vodacom who asked me if I had opened a contract with Vodacom and I said no, because I had never opened a cellphone contract with any company. He thereafter asked me to forward a certified copy of my ID together with an affidavit, which I then did on the 2nd of November 2013, I have saved that email. Days Later I received a call from an investigating officer handling this case, who informed me that my name had been cleared and it was discovered that it was indeed. I was shocked this year when I received invoices via post saying I owed Vodacom money and what is now pushing me is a call I received last month from Vodacom they wanted to let me know that if I don't pay my details will be forwarded to their lawyers. To say the least I am disappointed with the manner in which Vodacom handled this, and I don't think that I will ever do business with Vodacom. Vodacom have failed to help me in over seven months and I need my good credit record maintained. I lodged a complaint with ICASA on the 5th of April 2013 but to date I haven't been helped.
