Applied for a Cell C Straight Up 100 contract on Friday. I've completed all my paperwork, but they couldn't give me the phone yet because they were out of stock. I was sent home and I waited for their call. Called me on Monday to tell me I can come pick up my phone. So I drove the 70km again on Friday to go pick up my phone. After I stood in the line for 20 minutes (bad costumer service), I was told that I can't get my Straight up 100 contract, because I am not creditworthy (True because I've never opened an account anywhere). "That's no big deal" the assistant told me, because they are still willing to give me the phone on the Straight up 50 and I am lucky. Excuse me? Pay exactly the same amount per month and get half of what I've signed for last weekend? Bottom line: make SURE your paperwork are in order 100%, for they wont tell you because of their incompetence. I drove 140km just for them to tell me that I can't get what I've already signed for.
