BAD SERVICE AT MTN BEDFORD CENTRE

I have been a loyal customer of MTN for almost ten years. I recently added a 2 gig data package line to my existing contract line). It was a "bring your own device" promotion for R99 per month. The sales rep (Jean Schloeder) assured me that this sim will work in the Vodacom dongle that I had. This however was NOT the case. I then immediately requested that the package be cancelled. I had not used the sim card and returned it to the dealer upon this cancellation request. This was on March 22nd 2013.
Since then I have had to constantly phone and personally go into the shop in order to sort this out, to no avail. The latest is that I must pay a cancellation fee of R268. On March 25th 2013, I took out a more expensive MTN data package from the MTN Eastgate Branch. Surely this should indicate to MTN that the cancellation of the first line is BECAUSE IT DID NOT WORK and NOT because I wished to squirm out of a data contract. So it is not as if MTN is losing any money in this case, as I took out a more expensive data contract to replace the first.
I have never dealt with a company that has so little regard and respect for a client's time and patience.
