Vodacom is not very helpful

My husband has a contract with vodacom since last year. He got a cellfone that he had to use for work so he decided to take the vodacom contract sim card out because he didnt use it any more. Each month we payed the subsciption fee for the sim. Tuesday we got an invoice and there were calls made and data used on the vodacom sim that we didnt use. We phoned the call centre and spoke to Lebohang who wasnt helpful at all. I phoned back after an hour and I spoke to a lady who logged an investigation. The investigation guy phoned back and told my husband the bill for next month is R4000. Not 1 person at vodacom is willing to help us solve this and they just keep saying we have to pay this amount of money and I am not going to pay for something I didnt use. We have called the call centre we have gone to a vodashop the only thing they advised us to do is get a sim swop. What about this big amount of money that I have to pay now? This is bad service! And this all hapens just a month after we cancelled our other contract. And if no calls has been made or data has been used on a contract for more than 15 months why did vodacom allow R4000 worth of usage on the account? They didnt even contac
