Phone with a R5500 cell phone bill attached

My cell phone was a few months ago on a Friday night out of my bag while I was out dancing.

I stupidly only blocked my phone on the Monday not expecting anything of it.

After I had cancelled my sim card on the Monday, received a new sim card that Monday, I continued using my cell phone with no hassles only to receive an sms TWO WEEKS later saying my cell phone usage was high and my phone would be cut off for security reasons.

I phoned Vodacome and Autopage to find out what the problem was and I was told whoever had my phone had sent R5500 worth of airtime off my phone to a country up in Africa.

As this had been done, Autopage and Vodacom both sent letters explaining that would be investigated and my phone would not be cut off until such time as they had an answer.

Absolutely NOTHING has been done in terms of Vodacom or Autopage trying to find out who sent them airtime/or who was receiving it. My phone has now been cut off and Vodacom & Autopage expect me to pay this. I am a student.

Surely they should have picked up this high usage on the Saturday is was sent instead of 2 weeks later. I feel so helpless and unaided in this situation.
