Friday, 10 May a sim swop was done at The Glen branch. We were told it would take 2-4 hours for the phone to connect to the network.By Saturday it was still not connected. Sunday morning I called the customer support centre and was told the RICA status was not carried over to the new sim but that it was done while I was on hold and it would take 2-4 hours to connect. Still no joy. Another call was made on Sunday with the same result: spending over 20 minutes per call and still no joy. Monday we went into the store again at The Glen and were told there was a "technical glitch" and the sim would be active within 24 hours.
IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE THAT IT TAKES MORE THAN 5 DAYS TO ACTIVATE A SIM CARD!!! I will be paying my account at the end of the month on a pro-rata basis and will not pay for these 5 (and counting) days that I have had no service.
