In January this year I had to email mtn as you need to email queries & given the will get back to you in 48hrs. Nothing. On 29th April, I called & enquired what my balance on account is & was told to email. I explained I did, but had to email. I started off with a balance of R2702.91 in 2008 that quickly escalated to nearly R12000. I was on maternity leave & fell behind on payments as I had no income. This did not matter to mtn & the fact that i have been a loyal good payer for 12 years did not matter either. I have been paying off just over R300 a month and calculated that I paid over R15000 for an amount that should have been about R1692 when I went on maternity leave. Do you think that anyone can give me a proper answer? According to me I should have a credit balance now. I got a spreadsheet yesterday that makes no sense & does not show a lot of payments on it. When I queried it, surprise I need to email & wait, AGAIN. I bet that at the end of the day, despite me paying this amount over & above, I will not get a refund & that balance will miraculously be recovered by some fees & other type of jargon. As a single mother, I can't afford this & can do with my refund
