I had a similar experience to that of 'robcook'. Received sms from Cell C today, saying due for upgrade, and offer LG L9 @ R99/month. Please contact ur local agent. I went to Cell C Uitenhage, showed sms, but they were unaware of the offer. I then called the call centre and was informed that they are also not aware of this, as L9 is R199, not R99. They transferred me to another dept, who said the price was wrongly shown on the sms, is under investigation and that there is no stock of the phone. I queried why another sms was not sent to rectify the error? They could not answer and said it will be referred to management.
I feel that Cell C made me an offer in writing, and that I am entitled to this at the quoted price, when the phone is in stock.
