I signed up for an 8ta 10 gig/ month 3G internet contract -18 months ago, getting marvelous internet speeds of up to 9 mbps. The past few months, however, the speed has drastically declined and is now below 1.5 mbps, allmost all of the time. I have allways meaured the speed on [URL Removed] and my location has not changed. I have even aquired 8ta's own high speed 3G modem, thinking maybe my modem was fualty. I have studied the web and found that this is a common complaint. Telkom, however, appears to beat around the bush when confronted and never indicates what the reasons for the decline in speed are. Will this be sorted out before I renew my contract, or must I find a new service provider?
