People in my area, La Mercy are all experiencing the same problem with only one service provider, MTN. The reception continues to deteriorate day by day and there seems to be nothing happening. I've enquired many times over few years now and nothing has come from it. First they said it should be upgraded to 3g at the end of 2011/beginning of 2012. That time came and went, and then I enquired again, I i was told that they are waiting for government authorisation. Which I don't believe, as there is no full coverage of Vodacom, cellc, and Telkom mobile. If they can get authorisation, why can't MTN. I weccan't make proper calls anymore, but the line drops after a minute or so, if it doesn't drop, and then the person on the other side of the call, and can't hear you. There's times where there isn't any reception whatsoever. Something needs to be done. I have resorted to getting another sim card from cellc just so I know I can make a receive calls when at home.
