Cancel Policy

Hi

I have recently encountered server family issue and had to terminate job and relocate to Small town up on the West Coast, my father has become terminally ill and I need to help look after him in this hard time.

So now I tried to cancel my contract with Virgin, not due to any issues other than there is no gym and I have no job to pay funds due to me being home all day to support family.

They suggested I could pay lump sum of over R1000 which I do not have due to no work, so opted for the freeze option, this cost me R100 per month, which I still don't have and over 6months will set me back further as at some point I will still need to pay the cancellation fee.

So this month they debited my account with the R100 before the end of the month, my plan was to use that last R100 I had for food to survive for a few days. Is there no way a multimillion dollar company has sympathy for individuals in certain circumstances?

I enjoy gyming and would have returned to a Virgin once all is sorted at home which I am not sure how long, but now moving forward would say I would give Planet Fitness a chance as they are more understanding in matters.
