Inefficiency service from Planet Fitness

I had a contract with planet fitness more than four years ago, at the end of my contract i advised them not to renew it as out of the 2 years i only used the facility about 10 times. In 2010 i joined Virgin active and they did the necessary checks to see if i am an existing member at any other fitness facility, nothing appeared. Last year i received a call from a call centre agent from Planet Fitness saying i have an outstanding amount on my contract and that i had been handed over to legal, i was horrified. I went into planet fitness website, submitted a complaint stating what had happened and asked for someone to contact me, nobody responded. This morning i got another call from a collection consultant with regards to the same issue. This is really frustrating. When we end our contracts, why do we get calls a few years down the line "claiming" for outstanding amounts. I used the facility about 10 times, in fact i should be reimbursed.

They need to look into this, as i am not prepared to put up with this yearly calls
